Jon and his team in the office are awesome! Super helpful, kind and fun! Guide Phil is the best guide in the world hands down! Sees fish like no one else! Phil's patience of saying set the hook is amazing! You would think I would set the hook the first or second time but some times it takes three and I missed the fish. A CHERISHED CORE MEMORY WITH MY SONS! Ted Demetriou with Anglers Covey helped my sons (14 and 12 years old), and I make core memories this 4th of July! We were on a trip to celebrate my 40th birthday. It has become a tradition to spend 4th of July week celebrating by trying new things, activities, and adventures as a family. Ted delivered, and we are hoping to become more frequent participants. After our first fly fishing experience on the first day of our trip in a different city, the boys begged to go again (and I agreed)! My boys wanted to be in the water and learn some more advanced techniques, and Ted generously agreed. Ted was incredibly patient with my youngest son and me as we did not have the luck/skill of my oldest son, who quickly caught two beautiful trout. Ted was motivated to help my youngest son and me come out having a great experience. With much focus, hustle, and effort by Ted, my youngest also caught two trout. Along the way, Ted taught us about different types of fly fishing and equipment and modeled etiquette for anglers on the water. My youngest son especially hit it off with Ted, and they talked about a shared love of certain sports much of our journey. We hope to return to Colorado Springs, and Ted will be our first contact when we do! I highly recommend Ted's services for experienced anglers and for clueless moms who love watching their children learn something new! I will always remember the experience. Thank you, Ted!

Sam was the absolute best and created the most fun environment during our guided trip! It was important to me to have a guide that was willing to show me and explain to me what he was doing, not just do everything for me. Sam was so patient with all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I understood all aspects of rigging, casting, reeling, reading the water, etc. I was not new to fly fishing before my trip with Sam but I definitely left more confident. Beyond that, he followed up our trip with a summary of everything we discussed and the invitation to reach out anytime with additional questions. I cannot recommend Sam enough!

I never thought I would love a fly? However, finding the right Outfitter/Fly Fishing Guide you can have the fly-fishing experience of a lifetime. I waited until I turned 64 years old to check fly-fishing in the Colorado Rocky Mountain’s off of my bucket list. We wanted to stay in the Colorado Springs area in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Our search for guides took us to a place called Anglers Covey. We spoke with them on the phone with the normal how much, when can we go questions. They were extremely cordial and put us in contact with the Director of Services, Jon Eason. Jon provided all the right answers to our concerns, so we immediately booked a half-day guided fly-fishing trip. The same evening our guide (Ted Demetriou) contacted us with the information about our trip. I have been on many guided fishing services in my lifetime. All of the previous guided trips were either on fresh water lakes, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean or Pacific Ocean fishing trips. While I enjoyed all of my previous fishing adventures, I must say Ted gave us the best “all around fishing experience” we have EVER had. I had never held a fly fishing rod in my hands and within a mere 20 minutes of instruction Ted had me landing a beautiful brown trout. We snapped a photo returned the fish to the cold waters of the Rockies and got right back to the business of catching fish. Ted was an excellent teacher and motivator. His simple methods for casting, mending and setting the hook worked perfectly. He picked the absolute perfect location for us to fish and as the morning mountain air began to warm we stayed busy catching trout. Ted initially outfitted me with a wet fly setup using a strike indicator. This was how we started the day and as the morning dew evaporated we then progressed to using a dry fly rig. All morning Ted kept putting me in the right place to catch beautiful brown and rainbow trout. Ted’s outfitter expertise was on constant display. He always rigged the right fly and constantly made adjustments to keep me catching trout. I don’t recall ever walking away from a guided fishing trip thinking the guide was the perfect teacher, but Ted Demetriou was just that and much much more. Yes, I now have the fly-fishing bug. Thanks Ted for a day of beautiful fishing memories. We will be back!

Saying Angler’s Covey is just your average fly shop is an understatement. It’s much more than a shop. It’s like family. Each and every time I visit Colorado, AC is a must stop. The Staff is more than accommodating helping you with everything you need and answering your fishiest questions. Forgot to mention they sell kayaks!!! Their guide service is mind blowing. From fly fishing rivers and lakes, the AC guides will give you an unforgettable experience. Big Browns, Rainbows and at the right time of year, Kokanee Salmon! 11 Mile Canyon & Lake, Cheeseman Canyon, And the Dream Stream are some favorites including AC has access to private water fly fishing!! Overall, one of my favorite shops in America!! Stop by and check them out! You’ll be glad you did!

This is my 5th guided trip with anglers covey and I have never been disappointed with the service, guides or the river locations.
